Who We Are
Upward Counseling Center (UCC) is a group of passionate mental health clinicians who offer quality and affordable professional mental health services. It is our mission to promote awareness of mental health, and to help people build personal wholeness and healthy families.
We are a 501(c) nonprofit organization. The support from our donors enables us to bring hope and healing to the hurt regardless of their backgrounds and financial or social status.
What We Do
We provide individuals, couples, and family therapy through our licensed psychotherapists
High Quality & Affordable
Our clinicians use evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). We use research-validated instruments to assess progress in every session.
We accept some major insurance plans and offer a sliding scale fee schedule to make sure our quaity services are accessible to everyone.
Multilingual & Multicultural
In addition to English, our clinicians are fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as well.
Our diverse background and professional training allow us to offer culturally sensitive services. We also offer spiritual intervention if requested.
In order to meet the high demand of mental health services, we work with local churches to train and organize volunteers to offer mental health related services that are adapted to the unique cultural and social environment of a local community. The Mental Health Ministry developed at Home of Christ Church in Cupertino is an example of the collaboration.
